I think you may be conflating him with Andy Phillips, who got five trips to the plate in 2008.

I know the Mets picked him up mid-season last year, and I thought I remembered them calling him up at one point, but he obviously didn't get any playing time.

I checked the 2008 chronology in the media guide, and Green's name doesn't appear.

I've got Andy Green (10)'s signature on a baseball from Spring Training. It's next to Jerry Manuel's and Jeremy Reed's. That almost counts. :-D
