Edgy DC Jul 10 2009 02:30 PM |
Wow, they haven't even announced a move activating Pagan yet.

We can add another thing that will survive along with rats and cockroaches a nuclear meltdown.....A.Reyes.
|
bmfc1 Jul 10 2009 02:52 PM |
That must be a mistake: it's a line-up from the first week of ST.
|
Gwreck Jul 10 2009 03:11 PM |
Argenis Reyes batting seventh? Seriously?
|
LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Jul 10 2009 03:36 PM |
But on the plus side... we've got an outfield defense of Spidermen! (Relatively.)
|
sharpie Jul 10 2009 04:56 PM |
guess Church is outta the lineup.

This will not help my 1890s Orioles Slap-Chop fantasy come to fruition.

Hope that called third strike wasn't too stressful to Votto. Hate to see him on the DL again. Does a third trip for stress signify PTSD?
|
Methead Jul 10 2009 06:03 PM |
Votto's close to getting a middle name that starts with F

I guess he wasn't stressed out all that much. Later

Wright can't make a decent throw when he has to think about it.
|
Frayed Knot Jul 10 2009 06:38 PM |
Is it just my imagination or are the bottom half of these innings each taking about 45 seconds to complete?
|
Kong76 Jul 10 2009 06:43 PM |
Not to be gross, but I used the bathroom and the Reds were up.

An adventure in every somewhat well hit fly ball!

Consecutive numbers in the outfield 16-17-18.

In response to your last two posts, aren't you glad you got that out of your system? Later

Aflac trivia question. ONly players to make the all star t4eam from both the Mets and Reds.

Gary thinking that Boisclair was the last Francophonic Met.
|
Swan Swan H Jul 10 2009 07:06 PM |
Franco is not Francophonic. Odd, that.
|
Swan Swan H Jul 10 2009 07:07 PM |
Fuck you, Joey Votto.

Blah. Murphy tries to get a rally started with a sharp single, but three FCs in a row add up to nothing.

If Wright gets on, go to Shef.

Watching Jerry on the post game, I wish he could bottle and sell whatever
|
metirish Jul 10 2009 08:09 PM |
It's been a long time since I have not enjoyed watching the Mets , this team has done that though. Was the Howe era this bad?, I don't think so but maybe it was.
|
Frayed Knot Jul 10 2009 08:10 PM |
What was that, five balls out of the infield?
|
LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Jul 10 2009 08:13 PM |

They did this with groundouts in another inning, too. Was there some sort of beer-frame-type contest afoot?
|
Edgy DC Jul 10 2009 08:33 PM |

An unusual amount of choppers back to the box, it seemed.

Plus Phillips at 2nd had like 76 assists (I may need to recount but that's pretty close I think)

Cora came to the plate 70 times and six other guys had one each. Are we all aware this team can't score because Cora can't hit?
|
Edgy DC Jul 11 2009 06:56 AM |
Well, there's the Wright situation also that's a bugger.
|
Frayed Knot Jul 11 2009 07:35 AM |
|
Yeah, that's the problem.
|
John Cougar Lunchbucket Jul 11 2009 08:03 AM |

Yeah I know. But Cora is really killing us. He's OPSed at like 500 for the last 6 weeks.
|
metirish Jul 11 2009 08:04 AM |
Cora is a great pro, leave him alone.

I think we call that 'above average' compared to the rest of the crew these days. In any case I'm not all that concerned with what backup SS hit - I expect them not to. Now it would be nice if he weren't batting at the top of the order as much but, until Reyes gets his leg amputated and we need a full-time replacement, I can live with him.
