OK, Who Bought It?

Not saying I would have done it, but I would have definitely thought about it. OE: Story I saw this morning said it went for $23K. MFS' link says $32K. I was thinking more along the lines of $23K. And Namor makes a good point - if this was made known to Mets fans at large I'm sure they would've gotten a boatload more than they did. I had my picture taken with it in Rockerfeller Center when I gave a donation to charity during one of Imus' radiothons for SDS. (Yes, it was a trophy the Yanks had won the previous year. They loaned it for the charity drive pics.). Thought about the pic a while ago to show someone and couldn't find it. When the major auction houses have items like this (usually over $10,000 starting bid), they put them in a catalog/ announcement and send it to the group of people who are interested in things like it. They have special mailing lists for categories such as stamps, coins, art, artifacts, etc. They might even have one for sport-related items.
