Hopefully glitch-free lineups:

METS
Pagan CF
Castillo 2B
Murphy 1B
Wright 3B
Francoueur RF
Sullivan LF
Berroa SS
Schneider C
Pelfrey P

NATIONALS
Morgan CF
Guzman SS
Zimmerman 3B
Dunn LF
Johnson 1B
Willingham RF
Belliard 2B
Bard C
Stammen P

Let's Go Mets!

the nationals are the worst team in baseball, yet of the team playing tonight, the only hitter from the mets that would get into it is David Wright.
that's pretty awful.

I can't believe how selfish Wright is that he won't switch positions in order to fit into the Nationals.

(No point waiting for new controversies to actually occur before commenting on them.)

Really, the only guy he's having a better season than in that infield is Ron Belliard. (Actually, I guess Guzman kinda sucks too.)

This series hasn't been pretty to look at ... but at least the games have had a quick pace to them.
Kinda like what Woody was saying in 'Annie Hall' about life being sad and horrible ... but over far too quickly

Just got home-- what did Castillo do to get his crazy ass thrown out?

Force play at 2nd off an off-balance throw from Wright.
Luis had to stretch for it and juggled it briefly before gloving it too late.
He didn't get all hysterical or anything, but he must have said some interesting words calmly because he got heaved before Jerry or even Berroa from SS could get there.

Pagan = faster than I thought

Pagan triples! and did the Mets just benefit from an error? wow!

Angel Pagan says "I do it myself."

Murphy just drew the first walk in the team's last 107 plate appearences, wow this team is pressing to much.

Double from pinch-hitter Reed, walk from Pagan. Stammen leaving for Bergmann.

All we need's some onions, and we've got a stew going.

3 pitchers to get 3 outs (the scenic route). This IS a union shop, innit?

Nice pick from Johnson at first makes it two out.

Great idea, this swinging for hits against a guy who tends to throw 97 and walk the park.

Is there anyone who thinks that a ball lost in the lights is the standard to judge this on?

At least the games the last two nights have ended early with little drama!

Not a total waste-- we've gotten a good look at Nick Johnson, of the magic first-base glove and .400-plus OBP.

Personally, I think he'd look better a year older, in blue and orange.

no thanks. i do like the guy, he's a guy i'd acquire mid-season as a "plan B" if it became necessary, but i wouldnt want to go into the year with him as the starter, his history has been to hit the DL for long stretches every year

Most of the Mets hit the DL for long stretches. Seems like Johnson would fit right in with this team.

Clean house...From Minaya on down..No rash moves from here til the end of one of the most embarrasing years in team history.

Let the schedule run out and enjoy the off season...This shit has got to stop
