If he is with the big club until Niese is promoted, under the CBA he is entitled to two weeks of major league salary. That comes out to about $36,250. That may be as much as his salary for the entire minor league season. Or more.

Welcome to the bigs, Cory. Enjoy it while you can.

Sullivan's a big league vet, so he's doing better than that. He signed a $600,000 contract --- more than Pagan.

Showcasing him as a throw-in for a minor trade, maybe? Either way, I picked up his autograph during the off-season, so I'm glad he made it up so he can go from the trade box to the Mets collection.

Restores some Irishness to the squad.... I got nothing.

As an aside -- Chan Ho Park has given up two grand slams to the same batter in an inning AND two triples to the same batter in an inning? And both of those guys are on our team?

Are the Phillies on the schedule any time soon? Chan Ho's gotta be shaking.

The team's been rolling three-deep (Tatis/Murph, Berroa and Non-Catch of the Day) with Sheff gimpy. An injury or two to a position player, and you're dangerously close to not having anyone to double-switch during that third 7th-inning pitching change.

(Also, day off Thursday means no need for another starting pitcher until next Tuesday, potentially-- this talk of "who's taking Saturday" could be moot, as Livan could go on normal rest there.)

Well, almost. The first triple was off Jake Peavy, and the second off the Parkster.

Park, though, is still shaking.

Then when he goes back to the minors he can regale all the news about his brief time in "The Show". "Yeah, I was in The Show. Greatest 21 days of my life. They use white balls for batting practice. You know you don't handle your own luggage in the show? The ballparks are like cathedrals. The hotels all have room service, and the women all have long legs and brains."

He's had over a thousand plate appearances and played in the World Series.

I know. But CF put it well. I was in a Bull Durham frame of mind.

First time I've seen the Buffalo unis. Don't like the interlocked NY on the front in place of numbers. That looks dumb.

Bison is plural for Bison, no? Why the s at the end?

This is not OUR Cory Sullivan

A Pagan should earn less

What do you have against Pagan? I think he's done a credible job as a backup outfielder when available.

I htink he's just playing off the name.

i represent the Pagan Anti-Defamation League (the PADL), and we demand a retraction of that bigoted statement. In America, a pagan is entitled to earn as much as any religious ballplayer.
