This stuff would make Elton John blush. Yikes, a bit garish.

the Maine shirt in the middle looks like a San Francisco Giants jersey.
the red one with Mets in gold is the ugliest thing i've ever seen (besides those multi-color yankee hats)
the one on the far right is a decent looking shirt

Fans can wear anything they want and it won't bother me.
Of course [u:397qasdk]I'm[/u:397qasdk] not going to wear any of it, but as long as that stuff is kept off the field it's OK w/me

Apart from the one on the (Sheff-"designed") right-- maybe-- I think I'd rather wear one of the Alyssa Milano-designed baby tee things.

The press release:

I can think of several people I'd like to see wear the Milano baby-tee things (including Alyssa herself) but you, LWFS, are not among them.

I agree that the one on the far right looks OK.

of course, on the back of that black shirt with the orange pinstripes, is a big ol' sheffield's #10, with his picture in the number...

i think i like maine's, and i definitely like murphy's. sheff's on the far right is fine from the front.

of course, the mets.com shop must think that 50 is the right number of states, as there's no omir santos shirt there that i can see.

oh, also, i really hate the camo that some of the players used. i guess since parnell wanted it to look hunty, its ok. putz's camo is awful. no soldier would wear that. if i were him, i'd've lobbied to get the sweet pixellated camo the military actually uses, or at least a cheap knockoff.

If you want to kill your monitor or your retinas, peep the Putz.

As if it has to say PUTZ on the back.

I expect Putz listens to Toby Keith , loves freedom and his momma too.

What was Parnell thinking here?

I was expecting SCHWARZKOPF.

So I consider Ryan Braun to be a doofus and MLB marketing considers him to be the wayshower. Why am I always on the wrong side of these things?

You're not. A lot of people wear these shirts, grow porn collections and spend hours discussing "The Hills"-- that don't make it tasteful, just not your taste.

Now, if you're in the comedy audience, and you're the only one not laughing... that's another matter.

(And Jesus Christ-- these shirts are FAR worse when I'm sober.)

I was at my dentist in Forest Hills this morning and on the E train, changing at 74th to the 7 was a MLDB wearing this number:

Would you believe he was a redheaded white guy?

Yeesh. That's what happens when you don't establish quarantine quickly-- first outbreak, then overrun, then-- in six weeks or so-- everyone's a screaming, bloodthirsty mutant in a purple Castillo tank top.
