Dessens? geeze..he's still on this team? He hasn't pitched in so long (11 days. 2.1 IP in 23 days) I'd be worried about him being able to battle through one inning, never mind 5+. Mets are also 1-8 in games he's appeared in.

Well..yes. But that doesn't surprise me.
But everything about him points to the Mets having no real faith in him, so I can't imagine they start him.

Well, you'd actually like the extra reliever today, even with a short bench, but I'm all for dropping him, or Redding, tomorrow for Evans.

the roster right now is 12 hitters, Santana, Niese, Pelfrey, Perez, Hernandez, and an EIGHT man bullpen consisting of Rodriguez, Parnell, Feliciano, Green, Stokes and the aformentioned Dessens, Misch, and Redding.
