Correct on Williams

Who are the three members of the 500 home-run club who also pitched in the Major Leagues?

Babe Ruth (1914-21, ‘30, ‘33), Jimmie Foxx (1939, ‘45) and Ted Williams (1940).

# 10 Incorrect

#4-- Scoscia's one. Lasorda, I think, is another one. (I THINK he was on the '55 playoff roster. THINK.)

McGraw?

Ashie62
Aug 03 2009 03:34 PM

12 Chick Hafey Jim Bottomley Bill Terry

Met Hunter
Aug 03 2009 04:30 PM

Lasorda only pitched in a handful of games in '55. He definitely wasn't on any playoff roster. My guess is a couple of oldtimers from back in the day when mystique and aura were nowhere to be found.
