Plush-y.

Looks like Clinton Portis-- progenitor of Southeast Jerome, Coach Spanky Janky, and over a dozen "characters" of postgame press conference fame-- may have a new playmate in DC.

]In Pittsburgh, Morgan told the media that Plush was his gentleman's name; "and the next thing you know I have a Plush Gentleman's section in left field," he said.

It's during seasons like this when I wish to God that we had a player like this(and the defense/decent OBP have only a little to do with it). Damn him for not being a Met right now.

Pretty funny stuff

] "He gives everyone stage names I guess, so that's what he gave me," Zimmerman said. "You know, you can't argue with Tony Plush."
I love this exchange
] "And then I'm working on one for the big guy," Morgan said, gesturing toward Dunn. "I don't like the Big Donkey. That's kind of cheesy. He needs a stage name, and I'm working on one." "I don't really like it either," Dunn said. "It's garbage," Morgan concluded.

We do have a guy like that. It's just that he's spent most of the season on the DL.

But there's not a lot ot envy about the Nats these days, so I'll give them Morgan.

Yes, but half of Beltran's nicknames are variations on "Jesus" or "Lord." Slightly different timbre.

I was thinking more of Reyes.

Morgan sounds more like Reyes with a twist of Bill Lee... but funnier.
