True Blood - Season 2

From a prior post, it seems like there are at least a few of us that watch the show. I thought last week's show was a little silly, and I was worried that the show would be one and done. But last night's show was pretty fucking cool. I can't wait to see Eric kick some ass.

Incidentally, I need to figure out where Bon Tempe is so I can vacation there. It has a population of like 58 and exactly half are smoking hot chicks. Off the top of my head, there's Sookie, the shape shifting chick, the waitress that died in Season 1, Jessica the vampire, the vampire that made Bill, the preacher's wife, and the hippy chick that Jason was screwing around with.

I was VERY pleased to see shape shifting chick. I remembered her as the "chick making out with Craig Kilborn in the bathroom" scene in Old School.

Does she turn into triangles and stuff, or what?

She shape shifted into a pig. Mmm, bacon.

Was that the first time Sam had ever become something other than a dog btw?

I mean - in his life, not just on the show.

Soup, i'm pretty sure the character is fictional and so doesn't have a life outside the show.

Oh, really?

This isn't a documentary?

I'll rephrase - In the character's history(better?), had he ever been able to become an animal other than a dog? I don't recall him changing into another animal, or mentioning that he could, in any other episode.

Who watched the season finale? Some silly stuff mixed with some brilliant. I was blown away with the way Sam and Bill dealt with Mary Ann , the specialt effects there with Sam were very cool too. Who at the end came for Bill? , Eric , the ex GF ....a nice lead into next season.

It was probably a vampire, since he/she had to wear gloves to handle the silver chain. Probably someone sent by the Queen, based on the conversation she had with Eric this episode. (By the way, I get a kick out of how she forces everyone to play Yahtzee.) It was a fun season, and I liked how they switched to the quiet "morning after" the climax to the big story, to see how life began to return to normal, and immediately started setting up next year, with Bill being nabbed, and what happened to Eggs, and what Jessica did. I recently read the first book of the series, and it was so tame and uninteresting compared to what's been going on on the show. One of the exceptions where the screen adaptation is better than the original novel. And Michelle Forbes as Mary Ann was one of the sexier portrayals I've seen on TV this year.

My wife reads the books and says they are nothing like the show, while she likes the books she thinks the show is way better. I like your take on the gloved hands...didn't think of that

Didn't notice the hands were gloved either. I liked how they wrapped it the whole Maryann story and then set up next year. I wanna know what Sookie 'is'.

Re: True Blood - Season 2

A couple of things: - I noticed the gloves, and I think it's either Eric doing the queen's dirty work, or Bill's maker... - I was disappointed in the finale - I thought they wrapped up Maryann's storyline too quickly, and spent too much time setting up next season - The way Sam took care of Maryann, was hella cool. Gruesome, but cool. - I think Sookie had that immunity to Maryann because of what the Vampire doctor gave her to cure her of her wounds...

Re: True Blood - Season 2

They may have wrapped up Maryann quickly in the finale but I thought they dragged the death out of it as a storyline overall.
