Headline Mishmash

Have you ever been browsing a news website, where the headlines are stacked on top of each other, and at first glance you momentarily mashed two adjacent ones together in your head to form an incredibly insane headline? Because that happens to me every now and again.

Today, I thought I saw the following headline on Yahoo News:

"Metro worker convicted of making repairs"

Turned out to be a mishmash of "Metro worker killed making repairs" and "London couple convicted of child death".

Does anyone else have this happen to them?

Not a headline, but I just read this

]Last night I had the game on. My son came into the room and saw Corey Sullivan batting leadoff

And thought it said "....and saw Corey Sullivan beating off"
