Ricky Otero is getting an inordinate amount of hits on the UMDB over the last few days. I did some Googling, and found some articles in Spanish. In English, the best I could do was this, from his Wikipedia page: Ricardo Otero (April 15, 1972 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico), is a retired Major League Baseball player who played outfielder from 1995-1997. He would play for the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets. ***UPDATE*** Ricardo Otero was found in Cancun Mexico in July 2009 living under a bridge after been dragged to the underworld by the alcohol and drug abuse. He was asking for money in the streets and living as bum begging for food. He loss his money and paperwork because of the drug and alcohol addiction. I know its a bad translation, but I can't imagine that Otero ever played in a "large" League. I saw a Binhmanton game in which Otero, and Q. Veras all played . I was sitting in field level seats and I had to look down to see them. They were so short they were dimensionally challenged. Too bad to hear about him this way. Later
