Probably not , I saw them a few times in the 90's......I do like Californication a lot though.

Re: RHCP

Sure, why not? Free is free. Besides, I kick ass on the vocals for 'Dani California' on 'Rock Band'.

Re: RHCP

Flea always annoyed me....just one of those things .... and now "Give It Away" is stuck in my head........one of the most annoying songs of the 90's ...and that's saying something

Re: RHCP

I went probably not. Would've gone definitely not but if the concert presented absolutely no hassle for me, walking distance from the house, had a guaranteed seat, then I might go.

Re: RHCP

Depends on a lot of factors (time, distance, traffic, seating, etc.) but I'm a probably.

[quote="TransMonk":lm92pj28]Elitist, sock-free pricks.[/quote:lm92pj28] I am wearing socks, though not strategically. If you know what I'm saying. I would definitely go. It's free and they have tons of songs that are good. Duh.

Re: RHCP

Free? Is this a trick question or something? They're a medium-to-top tier live band with an impressive catalog of good songs. It'd cost you $75, minimum, to check them out in an arena. Here, you can go -- no pressure, no cost -- and see what there is to see. It sucks, you leave. It's good, you stay. Simple, really. Not going at all would be just lame, unless you really hate their music or something.

Re: RHCP

Well, there's certainly fun things in their catalog, but their act grew stale and lame a decade before they seemed to have any clue, and their frontman has a ratio of jerkfacery to talent so large so as to make the altar of David Lee Roth seem attractive by comparison. And it's not like Frusciante is somebody I want to play frolf with either. I'd sit there thinking, "I may not have paid these guys, but somebody did, and if even my presence here is somehow validating that payment, I'm enrichening these guys, and that's depressing." "And if one more of these douchebag fans plows into me, I'm going to lose my legendary composure, open up, and whale on him." And I guess that makes me pathetically old. And since I wasn't that into them when I was younger I guess that makes me pathetically lame also. Yeah, I would have been the turd in the glorious punch bowl that was Lollapalooza. But so be it. You all owe me a thank you for me not going.

Re: RHCP

If I stopped reading/listening/watching everyone I suspected or knew was guilty of douchebaggery, I'd be a pop-culture Helen Keller. By which I mean I'm a "probably." (Also, I suspect the crowd generally wouldn't be as aggressively douchey as you might think... we're ALL getting on in years.)
