[url]http://www.sporcle.com/games/common_english_words.php I got the 26 of the first 30, but only 58 overall. That whole site will devour your day.

Re: Timewaster

Yes I lose valuable minutes out of almost every day on Sporcle. Lotta pretty good quizzes mixed in with a lotta ones I have no interest in whatsoever.

Got 64 of 100. I rocked the state capitals and presidents though.

Re: Timewaster

I got 69, including the top 20. Trick was to think of texts I had memorized --- prayers, Hamlet's soliloquy, parts of the constitution, etc. Of course, then you have to update the early moden English, because "bodkin" is not as common as it used to be. I was convinced I had typed several of the ones I didn't get --- 23-34-37-39.

That was my experience too.

Re: Timewaster

62 - probably would have helped had I read the directions first instead of after thus giving myself more like 10 minutes - although I was pretty much running out of ideas by the end anyway. I also thought I had typed in several missing answers.
