I would really like to see a specific Music Forum -- mainly because I consider the Music related posts to be among the more valuable aspects of the NBF and it's not easy to wade through the different threads to catch up on music related posts; I know there's a Music Archive but that apparently isn't used anymore; Also a special purpose music forum may encourage more music related discussion. Thank you.

I agree, but for the opposite reason. I often go to the NBF and find only music posts, and I have no interest at all in the music posts. It would be nice for them to be in a separate forum.

I worry about narrowfocused forums turning into ghost towns like Film Review Land though.

Not sure about this at all, I'm sitting here thinking we could have less forums not more....do we need the Red Light Forum , the fantasy baseball forum? a terrible thought just struck me...a sub music forum in the NBT forum....

But IMO the overarching concern is that all the music threads tend to get lost, which I consider a real shame because good music knowledge is hard to come by. Since I started posting here I have discovered songs that I may not have ever encountered in the course of the remainder of my natural ife.
