Torn & Frayed

What a day..Ken Davidoff starts a manager watch and we find out Reyes tore the "healthy" part of his hamstring in addition to the "severed" non-essential tendon.

Recovery depending on who you believe is 8-10 weeks or 3-6 months...

All posted on Newsday in the last 20 minutes.

I did like the Jose Oquendo nomination for manager in lieu of Bobby V.

Ruben Tejada..step up at SS, quickly!

The Mets will probably get killed for this but sounds to me that Reyes has been the one putting off the surgical option.

What f'n ever.

The Mets are "America's Target" or so it seems. I suspect you are correct on Reyes. Might be a pride issue.

OT.. Mark Sanchez was in Times Square today for next weeks SI cover wearing Namath's "Joe Willie" fur coat.

I swear he looked like Kramer wearing the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

I would probably agree too. perhaps this is the straw that breaks the camel's back to force the inevitable... surgery. return for spring training.

get your legs freakin healthy, and rehab your butt off Jose.

Taking all the different reports and rumors into consideration, I'm sayin' he's still "day-to-day".
