What a day..Ken Davidoff starts a manager watch and we find out Reyes tore the "healthy" part of his hamstring in addition to the "severed" non-essential tendon.

The Mets will probably get killed for this but sounds to me that Reyes has been the one putting off the surgical option.

I would probably agree too. perhaps this is the straw that breaks the camel's back to force the inevitable... surgery. return for spring training.

btw. speaking of injured guys who were supposed to come back... what happened to fernando martinez? i thought he was going to get at least a couple of weeks in before the end of the season....
