Courtesy of TMZ (via Rotoworld):

"Yadier Molina is being sued by a sports marketing firm in New York for accepting money to appear at autograph events and failing to show.
Steiner Sports Marketing has filed the suit, accusing the catcher of cashing in $90,660 and never appearing at designed events for autograph seekers. According to TMZ.com, Steiner is seeking damages in excess of $175,000. Molina, regarded by many as the best defensive catcher in baseball, will have plenty of time to settle the dispute now that the Cardinals have been eliminated from postseason play. "

As if you needed another reason to hate this guy.

Is Yadier actually a jerk, or do we just hate him because he hit a heart-breaking home run?

I'm not aware of any previous loutish behavior on his part, but I haven't been paying a whole lot of attention to him either.

If you took a poll of folks here, I'm sure they would have picked another day they wish he hadn't come to New York.
