According to an article in the NY Post, http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/backpage/ ... yS1HTrMgQN Peter Gammons says that Jeff Wilpon is the REAL GM of the Mets, and Omar is just there to "take the heat". Thoughts about Gammons' assertion? Later

I just listened to the podcast of Gammons' appearance. As much as I like Gammons, he has consistently been a Minaya apologist. If Minaya wants us to believe that he's only the GM on paper, then it will make it easier for him to have an excuse and get a new job down the road. (A non-Mets story was when Gammons said that Joe Torre's life with the Dodgers was a "living hell", even worse than with the MFYs, and that "a lot" will come out about this.)

I think people will cling to their scapegoats, but no GM could have saved the Mets this year.

I have some stories about Al Davis that I'm saving for when he passes to the big Super Bowl in the sky. From that picture, it doesn't look like it will be too long, although I hope I'm wrong. He's the best Commisioner Pro football ever had. Later

That Trump photo is incredible. Are his minions so fearful that not one of them has the stones to say, "Boss, the combover just isn't working." Or has it become his trademark and he really can't lose it at this point?
