Any brushes with it? Anyone been vaccinated, or taken your kids for it?

The Medical Center where I work just sent out an email saying it will be available next week , as I work with patients I will be getting it.....I just spoke to Lorcan's pediatrician and they should have it next week too and he will be getting it.

I think both my kids had it last week (and have recovered) but there's no way to be sure, so when the vaccine is available I'll want them to get it. (The shot, not the nasal spray.) And when it's available for me, I'll get it too.

I'm so sick now I'm pretty sure I got it. Doc says vax is not available right now?

Not for us but some kids are getting the spray.....the CEO of the company that is making the doses for the US was on TV last night saying that the amount(100 million?) the Government said would be available was optimistic and that that # would be available next year. At my work what was mandatory for all employees a few weeks ago is now going to be given to direct patient contact employees first and for staff that work with young babies....

[quote="A Boy Named Seo":3m3d25dj]Was wondering, irish, if it was manditory for you.[/quote:3m3d25dj] It was but then it wasn't , when it became clear that not enough doses would be available it stopped being mandatory. I just got mine right now , in my work I am considered a category A for the vaccine because I work in a pulmonary lab, when I went to employee health and filled out the paper work the Nurse said I met the criteria for the live vaccine and not the injectable one....here at least one needs to be aged 49 to get the injectable or under 49 with health issues like asthma.....no way I was going home with a live vaccine that she said would for a few days be airborne from my nose......anyway after we talked she gave me the injection.
