This is a strong group. In addition to my 4 (Hunt, Johnson, Noble, Mazzilli) I'd consider Sid and Trachsel (isn;t he the winningest Met of the 00s or something?

Davey is a no brainer. Marty is tougher - I think he deserves to be in, but that can't be done until after he retires from the beat.

I'm not sure why retirement should be a pre-requisite, especially for guys with the type of job they can keep doing until forever. Similarly, I don't think it's necessary to withold a vote for Valentine because you want him back to. Nothing wrong with a Hall of Famer continuing to work or returning to work.

Davey, Davey Johnson, the only one I voted for here. Ron Hunt was close, but he was only around for three years.

I think Bobby is a not quite yet - He would need to add to his credentials to be put in, and I want them to hire him back. Two separate things, actually. As for Marty, I'm thinking retirement would be a pre-requisite for the same reason that some papers don't allow their writers to vote on post-season awards. There could be a sense of a conflict of interest.
