These are the jokes, folks --- Thanksgiving edition

...of the thread where we try to build our own crappy late-nite comedy monologue with our own own groan-inducing gigglers, rimshot rattlers, and recycled rib-ticklers. Be ready for awkward transitions and the rattle of six-dollar roast-beef plates. Feel free to put an asterisk next to original material, but what's the point? ________________________ I'm a little nervous. I'm having my girfriend over to Thanksgiving this year. She asked if she should bring her candied yams and I said, "Whoah, babe, my mother's gonna be around." Yeow! You know, a big part of the holiday tradition is the President's Thanksgivng Day Proclamation. On her book tour, Sarah Palin was asked how she was qualified to perform this important executive function, and she responded, "Well, I can see Turkey from my house!"

^ Thread killer. ^ So I invited a friend of mine from Europe to Thanksgiving and he asked me how we celebrate this distinctly American holiday. I told him how we wear goofy sweaters, hang out all day, watch a couple of football games, sit down, stuff ourselves to the point of pain, get fat, loosen our clothes, then all go out to WalMart." And he said, "Yeah, but how is it different?"

And speaking of Wal-Mart... For this Black Friday they are offering an additional 4% discount to shoppers who were trampled on their way in the door.

You know, a lot of folks are excited about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. But I have to say, I don't particularly care for it. It's just, you know, really not gay enough.

People really got into the Thanksgivng spirit this year. We just got word from the Indian Ocean that some Somali pirates have hijacked a gravy boat. The parade. It's just not gay enough.
