2012 contenders in 2009

I thought this thread implied the Mets were really just at the beginning of a three-year rebuilding program.

Andrea Mitchell and Norah O'Donnel are here, and every time they go live and the lights go on, the crowd goes crazy, which kind of hurts their shot. Huckabee gave us a fair amount of time for questions, not going to be the case tonight. If I can throw one to her, it will be great.

It was a fun day --- and a long one. Started at 6:30 a.m. and ended at 1 am. Waited in line with the book for almost four hours and dropped the question: Why Grand Rapids? She gave us a good answer, better than I thought we'd get. They had it set up so a photographer snapped away as each person was at the table getting the book signed, with the shot available on a Web site. The governor is in town today, then I think I'm done with politicians for a little while!
