I know, I'm the only one who still watches this game with enthusiasm.

Re: Go ARMY, beat NAVY!

So what's that, like 8 or 9 straight? Why is Navy so much better these days - not just in this game but over the regular season also? Is it strictly coaching? My uncle - USNA '58 - used to claim (particularly after Navy losses) that they were at a disadvantage because their school had stricter size limits than West Point. Even large ships have pretty tight quarters and it's tough to fit those real large guys on. Of course I'm sure that stuff went out years ago. Certainly the minimums went out when they started allowing women in and whatever the upper limit was didn't seem to prevent them from landing David Robinson way back when. Now the only problem is that Uncle K died not long after the 2002 game and has missed most of this winning streak.

Why didn't David Robinson have to fufill a service requirement? Do they give exceptions for pro athletes that are in the top 50 of their sport? Or did he serve at some time?

Also, ya know... ooh-rah.
