I know we discussed this somewhere on the main forum, but I just received this in the Mets Booster Club newsletter and thought that I'd pass it along -
] A Brooklyn Cyclones baseball player needs your compassion and help. He has reached the minor leagues after dreaming of it since he was 4 years old. Jonathan Malo's mother has been diagnosed with colon cancer and other major complications. Jonathan's goal is to sell 50,000 autographed photos at $5.00 each to help collect the funds for her surgery....It will cost about $250,000. She is suffering from a genetic colorectal cancer with complications....His mother, Linda, has not seen him play since he signed his first contract, but she was always there with him for all those years. He would like to help save her life. She requires urgent colostomy, urostomy and treatment for colorectal cancer. Jonathan is a SS with the Cyclones. They would like to bring Linda to Key Span Park to see Jonathan play for the first time. Your Booster Club sent a check to him for $100.00.
