Valadius Sep 21 2005 07:39 PM |
Beltran's been good as of late.
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 07:40 PM |
Hernandez is in the booth and HoJo is in the Met dugout.
Zvon Sep 21 2005 07:41 PM |
Beltran ties it with a single following Reyes doing his lead off single and steal second thang.
Zvon Sep 21 2005 07:58 PM |
After all that talk about having Diaz fill the 2 spot while Matsui is out, and batting Hernandez 8th, Willie has Cairo playin 2nd and batting 2nd.
Valadius Sep 21 2005 07:58 PM |
WHY IS CAIRO BATTING 2ND?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Valadius Sep 21 2005 07:59 PM |

Zvon Sep 21 2005 08:21 PM |
nothing in the game notes........
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 08:21 PM |
I imagine that the answer will be something like:
Valadius Sep 21 2005 08:23 PM |
Right... we've got Marlon Anderson on the bench and we send out Cairo.
Zvon Sep 21 2005 08:23 PM |
lol.....yep.Probly. "I dont wanna throw the kid into this high pressure pennant race we are still not in....."
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 08:24 PM |
To see how LoDuca ran out that double-play, I'd have the Mets bunting all night.
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 08:24 PM |
Lowell homers to tie.
Zvon Sep 21 2005 08:25 PM |
Frakin Lowell.........and he's ugly too.
Zvon Sep 21 2005 08:27 PM |
Im tellin ya, the Marlins are like one big bruise. They are hurtin pups. They are limpin noodles. ......shall i go on & on & on?
MFS62 Sep 21 2005 08:27 PM |
Not watching on tv.
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 08:30 PM |
The Marlon Anderson at second movement is a little late in coming, isn't it?
Zvon Sep 21 2005 08:33 PM |
..........................a big black and blue blowfish?
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 08:34 PM |
He's hit a couple but stopped at second in order to get the double record.

I have a file where i collect Met logos and Images (i have hundreds)and at that time one of my favorites was produced:
Zvon Sep 21 2005 09:03 PM |
Whew...Seo gets out of a jam there.
Zvon Sep 21 2005 09:06 PM |
Floyd hits one deep but not deep enough. Fly out.
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 09:07 PM |
Great tidbit from Keith. He was giving Cabrera grief for being in the dugout walking around instead of in the clubhouse icing himself. He said he learned how to deal with trauma injuries because, in his first big-league camp, his roommate was Ron Hunt.
Zvon Sep 21 2005 09:10 PM |
Piazza walks and Diaz comes thruu!!
Rotblatt Sep 21 2005 09:14 PM |
Jake Monster K's. Double switch with Dougie or Woody coming in for Seo? Or are we looking for one inning from someone?
Zvon Sep 21 2005 09:17 PM |
you guessed right. Damn that Pierre and his lil bunt singles. He's a Reyes wanna be..(lol--u know im j/k there)
Zvon Sep 21 2005 09:20 PM |
Padilla's holding Pierre as close as possible...
Zvon Sep 21 2005 09:22 PM |
thank you sir!
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 09:43 PM |
Long delay here as some of the lights have gone out.
Valadius Sep 21 2005 09:44 PM |
The LIGHTS? Oh boy.
Zvon Sep 21 2005 09:49 PM |
i thought it was my internet feed going into suspended animation again. Okay---I can handle Looper 2night. Just do your job,Loop
ScarletKnight41 Sep 21 2005 09:49 PM |
Bobby is in the electrician's union, you know....
Zvon Sep 21 2005 09:50 PM |
I dont understand why Hamulacks out already tho.......
TheOldMole Sep 21 2005 09:51 PM |
On the TV side, they won't stop slamming Mets fans for booing Looper. What do they expect?
TheOldMole Sep 21 2005 09:54 PM |
Two on and Lenny at the plate.
Zvon Sep 21 2005 09:55 PM |
I can handle Looper doing his job, and having the opportunity to do it.
ScarletKnight41 Sep 21 2005 09:55 PM |
Looper :(
TheOldMole Sep 21 2005 09:55 PM |
And Looper does it again (or should we blame the fans?)
Zvon Sep 21 2005 09:57 PM |
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Rotblatt Sep 21 2005 09:57 PM |
Looper.
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 09:57 PM |
It would have been a good time for Takatsu.
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 09:58 PM |
Or Ishii.
Elster88 Sep 21 2005 09:59 PM |
Booing your own team is ugly, pointless, and the sign of a small mind.
TheOldMole Sep 21 2005 10:00 PM |
Game no longer tied.
Zvon Sep 21 2005 10:01 PM |
i agree. I cant bad talk fans who boo (& just boo or yell displeasure) with Looper. He's been SOOOOOOO disappointing. He'll have to turn that around, and getting thru that inning unscathed would have done it.
ScarletKnight41 Sep 21 2005 10:02 PM |
Fuckshit. Shitfuck. FuckShitFuckShitFuckShitFuckShitFuckShitFuckShitFuckShitFuck
Rotblatt Sep 21 2005 10:02 PM |
Well, Takatsu gives up a single and the Fish take the lead.
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 10:04 PM |
Booing a guy just for showing up is, to say the least, counterproductive.
seawolf17 Sep 21 2005 10:04 PM |
What the frigging hell is the point of bringing Braden Fucking Looper into the game? Why? Can we try some of these kids, see if they can get some fucking guys out? Whose mother did Heath Bell screw? Why doesn't he pitch any more? Did Aaron Heilman's arm fall off and I missed it? Can you tell me why Tim Hamulack can't get a chance to get some fucking guys out?
TheOldMole Sep 21 2005 10:06 PM |
Middle of the Mets lineup actually coming through? Beltran and Floyd...
Elster88 Sep 21 2005 10:07 PM |
Heilman pitched two innings yesterday. Probably didn't want to pitch him again today.
KC Sep 21 2005 10:08 PM |
I admire seawolf17's passion, I lost mine a number of weeks ago.
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 10:10 PM |
Somebody, somewhere
Rotblatt Sep 21 2005 10:10 PM |
Me too, KC.
ScarletKnight41 Sep 21 2005 10:11 PM |
When MK was being interviewed for that Mets documentary yesterday, his only negative comments were about Looper and Takatsu.
Rotblatt Sep 21 2005 10:12 PM |
MIKE PIAZZA!
Zvon Sep 21 2005 10:16 PM |
I see your point, but with Looper I can understand fans wanting to let him know how disappointed they are in him. Im a positive supporter of the Mets, and very team minded, but if i was there and he didnt get thru that inning, id be booin too. Before he even threw a pitch or allowed a runner to reach? Maybe not, but i would understand the people who would do that. He's only blown the hope of the fans in every instance and level that he could, and seemingly only at times when we really want him to do his job.
Zvon Sep 21 2005 10:18 PM |
oh.
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 10:19 PM |
I'm sure he doesn't need to know that people are disappointed in him.
You're eluding me in the alleys and sideways.
Elster88 Sep 21 2005 10:25 PM |
Great job on the rundown by Cairo.
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 10:27 PM |
Finally all that plays-the-game-the-right-way stuff pays off, huh?
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 10:28 PM |
And Bert walks the backup catcher to load them up for Lowell.
Rotblatt Sep 21 2005 10:29 PM |
Robo sounds tired. This could get ugly.
Rotblatt Sep 21 2005 10:30 PM |
Or not! Lowell pops it up near the stands and Jake makes what sounds like a nice catch, reaching over the rail to end the inning.
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 10:31 PM |
Jacobs catches the third out and Cairo --- playing the game the right way --- catches Jacobs.
Zvon Sep 21 2005 10:33 PM |

whew...hwernadez gets out of it. He does his job, even if he had me sweatin. I think the fans have every right to pick Looper as a scapegoat, even though he is not the only reason the Mets have failed. Whether he needs to know or not dont concern me. Tonight i wanted more than anything for Seo to get the win. Looper ruined that hope. And why did Hamulack only pitch to one batter in that inning? I still dont know the answer to that one.
Elster88 Sep 21 2005 10:36 PM |
Does Jose like giving me heart palpitations by diving into every base when the playoffs are out of reach?
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 10:38 PM |
They booed him before he failed, and by undermining him, they facilitate that failure, and share in it.
Elster88 Sep 21 2005 10:38 PM |
This is one of the dumber statements I've heard.
Zvon Sep 21 2005 10:38 PM |
Ryes makes it happen.
Rotblatt Sep 21 2005 10:38 PM |
Ugh. I'd rather have anyone BUT Cairo up right now.
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 10:39 PM |
Cairo.
Elster88 Sep 21 2005 10:39 PM |
I get a sick sense of satisfaction out of the Mets knocking the Marlins out of the race. Anyone else going to the game tomorrow?
Zvon Sep 21 2005 10:39 PM |
never said I was a genius
Zvon Sep 21 2005 10:41 PM |
How about that?! God, I love baseball.
Valadius Sep 21 2005 10:43 PM |
Cairo? CAIRO?!?!?!?!?!
ScarletKnight41 Sep 21 2005 10:44 PM |
The Mets Win!
Zvon Sep 21 2005 10:44 PM |
I completely agree with this statement. As you know, i was one who really had a problem with Met fan attitudes. But in the instance of Looper, I can understand fans doing that. I wouldnt. But as soon as a runner reached, i would. I would want him out of there and no longer in the position to ruin what hopes i still hold for this team.
Zvon Sep 21 2005 10:46 PM |
Good game tonight 'folks".
SwitchHitter Sep 21 2005 10:51 PM |
Thanks, guys, I like when the Fish lose.
Elster88 Sep 21 2005 10:54 PM |
No prob. Will you take Beltran back now?
Zvon Sep 21 2005 10:54 PM |
I bet you do,lol. Those Phils gonna be breathin down your backs tho. They are playin like they dont wanna give it up.
SwitchHitter Sep 21 2005 10:56 PM |
Beltran who? Our CFer is #1. You can tell by reading the back of his jersey.
SwitchHitter Sep 21 2005 10:59 PM |
If they don't lose today, they have another chance to lose tomorrow.
Zvon Sep 21 2005 11:01 PM |
lmao. I like how you make it sound so simple.
Frayed Knot Sep 21 2005 11:35 PM |
Nice game by the much-maligned Miguel Cairo. He ran that rundown play perfectly from the second he got the ball.
Edgy DC Sep 21 2005 11:46 PM |
I thought the RBI single by Lenny Harris was a solid hit off of Looper.
metirish Sep 22 2005 12:11 AM |
I like Willie's take on that Edgy, losers might be a bit strong but I see his point.
