Homework Helpline - nslookup, tracert and ping

With D-Dad's help, I know how to find the DOS Command Prompt screen. I found all of the hops I needed to check out with tracert, I got good results for one of my ping requests out of three (that may just be normal), but I'm having trouble getting nslookup results for my four examples (with two I need to look up the domain name, and with the other two I need to look up the ip address). How do I set up these searches effectively? Thanks.

I'm not sure how to do it in Windows. I'll ask my son. He says it works the same way as it does in Linux. nslookup [domain name] nslookup [address] And yeah, ping doesn't always work. Among the reasons it might not work is that there's a firewall at the other end. If that doesn't work for you. post what happens and I'll see if between my son and I we can't diagnose it.
