Here is some advice - if any of you have kids who want Nintendogs for the holidays, try to buy one NOW!!!! They're hard to get, but still able to be found. I predict that this will be this year's Tickle Me Elmo, so to speak,and it's going to be really hard to find in December.

Whoa! Don't rush things. My birthday comes before any of those dates. I remember when my daughter was little, the Baby Alive doll was the hot toy. I searched all over the city, even offered to buy the one in the window from one shopkeeper and was told it was already spoken for. Then I found one high up on a shelf at the store about a block ffrom my house - just in time to give for the first night of Chanukah. Later

For me, the shopping begins after my daughter's birthday. And with three kids, I need all of that time.

The last couple of years Chanukah has come right on the heels of Thanksgiving. It's trained me to get organized on the early side.
