Hey, I wrote a book

I've only been a member for a month or so now, and didn't even realize there was a forum for stuff like this. I had my first book published last November. It's part of a series, but this is the only one I've written.

Here is the link to it on Amazon

That looks like something my son, my husband, and my dad would all like. Thanks for the gift idea and good luck with your book!

Your son, husband, and dad! Wow! Thanks for the kind words. I had a lot of fun writing it.

I guess I should note, I will probably like it too :)

I wonder if my daughter's boyfriend is a football fan...

An honest review (even if it's not a rave) would be appreciated!

Thanks much for buying the book. I'm humbled that you would do so!

I hope you enjoy it!

How were/are the Potomac guys to work with? I met a guy at SABR (Brian?) I was trying to pitch ideas to.

I got the impression they felt little, broad and general beat obsessively narrow and huge.

Was his name Kevin, perhaps? I don't know a Brian, doesn't mean there isn't one.

The guys at Potomac have been great to me. They're not a very large operation, and I'm not sure how many people they have there, but they've always helped me out. I know they have a presence at many of the SABR events, and i think they're trying to move away from being known as a "military history only" publisher.

Depending on the ideas you pitched, your impression might be right. An idea that may knock the socks off a SABR member might not necessarily appeal to the general public.

Yes, Kevin. He seemed real impressed/happy with the series you contributed to.
