Matt Franco's game winning come from behind pinch hit against Mariano Rivera and the MFY's can be seen tonight at 7PM on SNY. It was a toss-up between the Dave Augustine ball off the wall game or this rarely seen gem.

Before the Yankees humiliated the Mets in the 2000 WS, before Clemens almost eviscerated Piazza's gut with the sharded end of a broken baseball bat and right around when the Yankees were wresting the majority of NY baseball fans from the Mets, we beat Mariano Riviera and the MFY's in a meaningless and insignificant game. Hurry up now and you can catch that magical last inning when Matt Franco hit a single -- in case you missed the first 289 airings of this heavy rotation SNY Mets classic.

I recorded this Mets classic on DVD five separate times, just in case I ever get burglarized by a burglar who's hell bent on stealing my first four copies of this game. Is this like the greatest Mets game ever?
