Sorry - I just never saw the attraction to Molly Ringwald. All of her characters were just too whiny...

Re: Boyoyoyoyng!

Encore are showing along with the 80's movies a documentary film about John Hughes today at 3 http://www.dontyouforgetaboutmethemovie.com/
The documentary details the journey of a group of young filmmakers who go in search of the reclusive icon, documenting their search through interviews of the people with whom Hughes had worked and fans of his films. Those interviewed include Ilan Mitchell-Smith, Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson, Kelly LeBrock, Mia Sara, Alan Ruck, Roger Ebert, and the band Simple Minds.[1][2][3][4] Filming began in 2006.

Well, they were teenagers. It really wasn't about being attracted to her --- it wasn't erotica --- it was about a vein of authenticity being struck with teenagers that no adult director had before, even in films that were absurd. Girls certainly liked her chartacters more than boys ever did. Besides, the topic is apparently Ally Sheedy in Wargames --- which, I guess, was erotica for Fman. But some days you get the feeling that it's all porn for Fman.

Read into it what you may. I wouldn't say it was porn, as much as it was just boyoyoyoyoyng. I am able to make a distinction between the two.

Re: Boyoyoyoyng!

Breakfast Club came out while I was at Missouri. My roommate's girlfriend was all about being an RA, which was all about being touchy-feely. I didn't get an RA job because I was not even a little bit touchy-feely. So she dragged Tony and I to this thing and was darn near weepy at how much they all got in touch with their feelings and loved each other despite being so different. So I got in trouble after, as we were walking out, I got loose with, "Oh my, what a massive pile of crap that was!" That said, I liked Sixteen Candles. Never saw the attraction to Molly Ringwald -- but agree that Ms. Sheedy was beautiful in War Games.

Fman, Ally also made a movie called High Art, in which she had a Lesbian affair. I'm not sure if that thought will give you a hard on or a soft off. Later
