I got a sweet set of 25th anniversary 1969 World Series phone cards that my nephew found in an Illinois coin shop. Each player and coach has his own plastic card. I've seen single cards at shows over the years, but never the whole team in a special binder. And he gave me a Jeff Kent Starting Lineup figure and four packs of 1990 Topps cards. He's eight, and gets excited when he comes across Mets things in Illinois for me!

I got a pair of fancy technical running pants which I'll use to lounge around the house in till my foot gets better. Also a couple of books and shirts and stuff. Cooked a goose: Destroyed the kitchen with smoke and grease, but really pretty good.

Kase - I haven't been able to put it down all morning.... It was funny - First I got the Miracle book, and I was saying how a few of my friends wrote portions of that - then I got Dana's book, and I said how I met him a couple of times. When I got the NASA book, my dad asked me if I knew Neil Armstrong...

"The Hot Shoe Diaries" is great, pretty amazing what can be done with small flash in the right hands....great stuff. I got a few books....this is one I have wanted for a while as I really like the author on his site FYI he has several E-Books for $5.....believe me they are worth it

DocTee, are you using the Device Switch Wizard? I need to switch Blackberry's today or tomorrow because mine is kinda broken. (friend's kid spilled a half a Heineken on it during the summer and it's never been the same)

I upgraded from a T-Mobile so it may be that. I use my phone for calls/texting only, and never had a plan, opting instead to pay as I went, but that seems silly with a cool new phone and all it can do. I have a feeling in a week my "I'll never use that feature..." will morph into "how did I ever live without this..."

Some upgrades to my wardrobe, mostly (and needed, I might add). Also got Tiger Woods '10 for the Wii, as my wife sheepishly said "I got it before the scandals!" I was happier to give this year. The kids got lots of new games and gadgetry, Mrs. Solo got a new Coolpix and tix to see U2 on her birthday in Montreal. Little Solo and I have been killing on Wii backyard football.

Two "Cosby sweaters" and a ton of baby clothes (ranging from cute to aesthetic child-abuse). It seems my family has put me in a box of sorts. LWBH and I are taking each other out on partner-planned Mystery Dates (mine's a virtual ski trip with a trip to Spotted Pig "apres-ski") and buying each other fresh kicks (we've both worn out our "good" sneakers) next week, so that should make up for my folks'... um... "good will."
