On one hand, it's good for me, because I have a shorter drive to see the Cyclones, but it's sad that yet another small town is losing a NY/Penn league team...

We've been to little Damaschke Field in Oneonta three times. We planned our first three visits to Cooperstown to coincide with Oneonta home games.

The Norwich Navigators moved? I went to one of their games once against the Red Sox AA team. Hanley Ramirez hit a home run and made an error in the field.

The Gators weren't the Gators any more... they became the Connecticut Defenders (owing to the area's submarine heritage) a few years ago. I hope the O-Tigers take the Defender name and keep the logo, because I need to buy a new CD hat.

Sad for upstate NY. This happened when I lived in Watertown, they lost a rookie league Indians affiliate. It sucks for those folks who are local and were regulars.

If I recall, Oneonta is where I had the best burger of my life, something like 15 years ago when I went to the Baseball Hall of Fame for the first time.
