A Nelson nugget I never knew

[quote="Wikipedia":2wzeodfo]In the 2009 Venezuelan Winter league round robin, he pitched for Cardenales de Lara (Lara's Cardinals) and pitched a no hit no run for nine innings but the game was still 0-0, he came again in the 10th and received a hit, ending the streak. Cardenales won in 10 innings, 1-0. Figueroa was the winning pitcher.[/quote:2wzeodfo]

Re: Carribean Series

"I can only hope that the Mets are watching this and they are happy with the work I am doing," Figueroa said. "I started early and I got the competitive juices flowing in December. I'm hoping that carries over to Spring Training so we can all get on the same plane and look forward to October."

Fartinez = 5 for 15 with a homer & a 2B during the tourney

And did anyone catch that Bill Freakin' Pulsipher tossed 5 innings for Puerto Rico the other day?
