Working? Snowed In? Half-day? Working this morning, but I'll probably bail early afternoon.

Re: Work Check

Office is officially closed. If anyone wants to come in, they can. I'm staying home. Even if I got there (its not so bad now) worrying about how I'd get home. Later

Re: Work Check

Working from home. My wife, son and daughter all have snow days. We never close, but there is very little that I can't do with my laptop, wireless and VPN. It's not all that bad here on the south shore of Long Island, but tonight's commute would have been a nightmare.

Re: Work Check

All patients were cancelled yesterday in anticipation of the storm, still I was going to go in but decided there was no point. The new boss if she went in today is sitting in an empty lab.

Re: Work Check

We're closed. Snow coupled with insane winds plus two feet still on the ground (and the roads) equals no way would I be going in anyway.

Re: Work Check

At work, probably will be here all day & tomorrow. The school I work for has a thing about never closing for anything. My son's child care is closing early though.

Know what sucks? Trying to decide whether to open or close when you're in the business of feeding folks.

Re: Work Check

Got about 150 sandwiches left, and my security officer is the only one likely to make it in. There's a pantry that's meant for poor families and not for my population but I'm telling him to take from there. Heavens to Betsy. You know what else sucks? When you're thinking druing a storm, "Gee, I wonder what stores are possibly open and what they have left to sell," you can be sure Brown Street Liquor is open and they have plenty of pints of vodka to move. Other tough part of working from home. The yappy dog sleeps under my chair and explodes with outrage when the wind blows, giving me many cardiac moments.

Re: Work Check

We're closed but I did some stuff this morning. I could never work at home a lot, too many distractions*. It is nice to be able to sit at a laptop and do some stuff nowadays so easily. We have servers in Texas, NY, and Canada and it's cool how everything works so quickly all spread out and right here in the living room. * I'm an closet Encore Westerns junkie lol

Re: Work Check

Certainly I worked. We have a Jeep, and I am way behind. Plus I have Friday off for a trip and a web seminar tomorrow. If Gov. Rendell approves I'll work tomorrow, too

Re: Work Check

I got an e-mail from my VP canceling tomorrow morning's 8:30 staff meeting because it may take longer than usual to get into work, then I got an invitation from him for a 9:00 meeting on a different topic. I can take a hint.

Re: Work Check

Went in for an hour this morning, but I was the only person -- other than our Dean of Admissions -- in the office (out of a staff of over 40). We were out by 10:15.

There must be a lot of non non essential employees in your firm for that turn out -- or they ride subways instead of parkways.
