Skin thread

Down boys, down ... I have this 2" X 2" patch of leather like skin on one of my arms that just won't clear up. It itches, it burns, it's red ... sometimes it stops for a week or two and then returns. I have no such symptoms anywhere else, and never have, but this spot is just persistent trouble. Sarna, pure aloe, hydro-cortisone all provide varying relief at times but it never goes away. It's like a freakin' 4 square inch arm plague. Amputation is not an option, it's my right arm and I, uh, need it.

Perhaps you need a prescription. I had some itchy skin a couple of years ago - nothing debilitating, but it was annoying. Once I finally went to a dermatologist and got a prescription lotion, it cleared up in a couple of days.

Yeah, ya know me and doctors. I do have an appointment next Wed with regular doctor and I'll see what she says. If I need to go to a dermatologist I'll need a referral from her anyways. (I really just felt like kvetching about it for some reason)

Sounds like eczema. Mrs. dgwp has had a recurring problem with it, and it's sometimes exacerbated by the dry air inside during the winter... She has prescription creme called mometasone furoate that clears it up...

Got some prescription Halobetasol Propionate yesterday ... shit works. Doctor laughed at the notion of urine, but she had a kinky giggle over it. She's very cute, blue eyes you could get lost in. (just checking to see if KB reads the forum -- hi, honey just kidding :-))
