Nationals and the elusive win

Spring training games are meaningless, of course. But the Nationals are 0-10. Yikes. The fan base might like to see an occasional victory, even in exhibition games.

Jeez , you might think they would win one by accident in Spring Training.

Or, at the very least, you'd think they'd win 2-3 based on Jason Marquis' sheer winnerness alone.

Fan base? What is this "fan base" you speak of? Such a thing does not exist!

fan base = all the friend and family of the players plus whoever scored free tickets that night

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that the 2010 Nationals, appropriately, will suck a Washington-Monument-sized cock this year.

A 5-2 loss to the Braves today. They're 0-11 , 8.0 games out of fake first, and they released vet bullpen leader Ron Villone today.

What about that there? , they have completed five seasons in DC. Is it a bit early to get a gauge on the fan base, what other cities were in the running again?

Will it work in DC?

i think a city needs to shun a contender before i start calling them out as terrible fans (looking at you, florida!)

Washington leads St. Louis 4-1 in the fifth.

Doesn't it sort of have to?

Now the Nats players know how Teddy feels.

The Nats divide themselves and conquer, winning two split squad games --- 4-2 over St. Louis and 12-3 over Florida.

Our long Nationals nightmare is over.
