Snowed In/ Off Day Check

I was up at 5:30 to shovel the driveway and car out, it's really bad here in the Bronx and I'm staying home. The Saw Mill is closed in places, a lot of trees down . The Harlem Line between Hartsdale and White Plains is suspended because of several trees down on the tracks. Beeline buses in Westchester is suspended today. http://www.beelinebus.com/ Stay home if you can.

We probably got 12 to 14 inches here, just heard the Harlen Line is up again but with heavy delays .

Even if I was off today (which I don;t think I am) I have to go into the office and get some stuff I'd need to work at home. What I'm hoping is for Skipper's Vet appointment to be canceled...

Delayed opening but I don't know what the day presents since our street is closed by Con Ed and so it's not plowed.

I called my company's weather hotline twice, because I didn't believe what I heard the first time. The office is open if needed, but they are telling everyone to stay home...

Rating the much maligned weather men. John Elliott on the local CBS station is great, of all the local yobs I find him the most accurate and engaging. Sam Champion jokes here please.

I feel fortunate to have power, a lot of people in Orange and Westchester Counties don't. In Orange where one of the girls I work with lives some have been without power since Tuesday.

City wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting this morning, it was actually kind of nice walking in the city at least after I dropped off the cat. Better than walking around yesterday in all that slush -- now conveniently buried beneath the snow.

It wasn't bad at all walking around, lots of slush and that was about it.

The boys had a school day. I was able to fly out of Newark this morning; apparently Jet Blue was one of the few airlines that wasn't canceling tons of flights.

Worked from home yesterday. Office closed today. Up here in Orange county, we had 32 inches, and we lost power around 7 last night, and didn't get it back till 4 PM today.
