http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/04/fashi ... ing&st=cse Nothing too surprising here, just some reasons why indoor training isn't a complete substitute for outdoor - lack of wind resistance, the 'too smooth' operations of treadmills and trainers, etc. - and why you shouldn't expect a 1:1 equality of results.

It's better than nothing. Plus after training indoor for a significant amount of time, it feels so good when you get to go back outside.
