I tried the "search" for a song parody I wrote about Frank Lary for the contest a few years ago. (The song was Hotel California)
Came up nada.
Then I looked in the parody and other archive fora.
Still nada.

Any help (a link) would be appreciated.

Re: Search

Useless.
Anyhow, I found it on an archived CD when I got home.
The bigger question should be why doesn't the search function work.
That's something the admins should know about.

Re: Search

The search function works for posts that were submitted since we've been on the current phpBB software. For anything older, you'll have to Google. You can limit your search to domain cranepoolforum.net and/or archives.cranepoolforum.net

For anything dating to the ezBoard days, you're on your own. Maybe Google has it, but there's a good chance that it's lost forever.

Thanks.
I was wondering how far back the search function was good for.

Re: Search

Maybe archived isn't the right word.
I write my paroday songs (and longer posts) first, then copy them to the board. It stems from the days when my internet connection was very sporadic, and would kick me off in the middle of long posts. Then, I'd have to retype them. I still haven't gotten over the trauma.
My old PC crashed a few years ago, and the techie who helped me was able to save some stuff to a CD.

Copy CPF stuff to a CD?
Hey, I'm not that fanatic. :)
