Also apparently schduled: Jenrry Mejia Kiko Calero Elmer Dessens Francisco Rodriguez Pat Misch Sean Green
Some of those guys went yesterday, so this is an interesting moment, with Jerry clearly seeing how they bounce back, particularly Mejia.

A single by Matthews is all we scratch in the first inning, as he gets thrown out stealing third and Castillo and Jacobs whiff. Bottom of the inning, Cody Rasmus goes deep with two out. Two-zip, Redbirds.

Three-zip. Mets held to three hits through five. Nobody posting. Assholes trying to chat me up on Facebook (not you, Steve). But really, trapped in at work during this beautiful day, a lot of things are simultaneously sucking.

Five zip last I checked. Frankie Rodriguez also gave up two runs. Not a day so far to write home about. Later

Mets down 5-0 before breaking through in the seventh: Misch: gives up first run of the spring. Rodriguez: hit up for two in one inning. Breakthrough: three seventh inning doubles: F-Bomb, Cora, Catalanotto-Yetto-Finishedo. Disturbingly walkless.

Henry Blanco up in the ninth. He and Tatis neck and neck in a wicked competition to see who can have the most punchless spring.

Ike Davis homers with 2 out in the 9th to tie it.

Hello, free baseball! Russ Adams --- don't sell him short. He's only 29 and may be in a very Relafordian position from which to help the cause.

Gotay? No hway! Kiko Calero is not Mr. Zero.
