Noble Thoughts

I've got to say, for an old guy, Marty Noble has the hang of the blog thing. Using it not to simply to break snippets of news that don't necessarily qualify as a report, but to do what he does best and what good bloggers do best --- work out thoughts, muse, essay.

Here he takes a couple of stories off the wire --- unrelated at first glance --- views them through the same filter, and examines himself as he responds to them. http://noble.mlblogs.com/

Re: Noble Thoughts

Baseball and oldies intersected for me in a most disturbing way last week when Dwight Gooden's rap sheet gained another entry and Johnny Maestro passed away.

Great line

But I saw him perform under the brightest lights, and he was magnificent, unmatched in my time covering the game.

That's quite a time and statement.

Thank you, Marty.
