Nets with 9th game

... and their second in a row for the first time this season.

That ties them with the Sixers for fewest wins in a season ever and they still have a half-dozen or so games to get at least one more.
I was kind of hoping they'd get it myself - and for the longest time it didn't look like they were ever going to get there.

Me too , and I like the spirit their team exec showed the other night when he got in to a verbal with a fan wearing a brown bag on his big head.

Two in a row, Bay-bee.
They're on a roll.
Now, with the #1 draft pick and the signing of LeBron James and either David Lee or Cris Bosch, we'll be watching a future super power in the NBA.
And we will be able to tell out grandchildren that we saw it happening.

All the Kings Horse's and all Jay-Z's money

What percentage of teams in the NBA do you suppose have fans who are starting their off-season plans/hopes with the phrase: "then, after we sign LeBron, we'll ..." ?

I'm thinking it approaches triple digits

From 7-63 losers to 9-63 winners.

I'm thinking you are very correct

In a few years they may be feeling that way about Kevin Durant

I was at MSG this year and overheard a guy say "This team isn't half-bad. We add LeBron and Wade, and then one more solid player, and we're legitimate title contenders." while his buddy nodded in agreement.

Apparently it was lost on him that adding those three to any group (the CPF, the Bangles, my son's pre-school class) would instantly turn them into title contenders.

I'm glad they at least tied it. I prefer Philadelphia be associated with records of mass suckage.

It's like the Bulls who won six championships with Jordan, Pippen, a crazy rebounding freak, and a revolving cast of 38 guys named Fritz

And I love the part about how those first two steps - adding LeBron & Wade - are treated as givens, and then you decide what to do from there.
It's like the Steve Martin joke about how to become a millionaire and pay no taxes.
Step 1, he says, getyourhandsonamilliondollars ...

The Nets recent winning splurge has also guaranteed a .100+ winning percentage.

Extend the regular season and they might yet make the playoffs.
