On a somewhat related note, I'm being compelled by Mrs. Solo to go see Sting (along with a backing symphony orchestra) at Bethel Woods this simmmer.

Speaking of Sting, I was listening to an 80's station the other day and heard Spirits in a Material world which I did not know they sang, and nearly gagged.

In all seriousness, I'm critical (when I feel it is appropriate) because it means so much to me and I hate to see it peverted/manipulated/contorted on ways it shouldn't be.

Sting performed a private show here last year, hired by Amway for its 50th Anniversary celebration. We were debating whether Sting needed the money, or whether Amway threw crazy money at him to play, or whether big stars do this all the time, but we just don't hear about it.

I have a pretty solid bootleg recording from an Aerosmith private gig a few years back.
