The 23rd inning Met from 1974 is the perennial fan favorite Bruce Boisclair.

Re: Late Arriving Trivia

Crawford & Boisclar are correct. Time to pump up the volume of clues:

10th inning debuts (12):
pitcher, 1970, take a guess
(infielder), 1974, 1st of only 4 games as a Major Leaguer
outfielder, 1980, soon to hit 3 Hrs in a game
Terry Blocker, 1985 (Hahn Solo)
pitcher, 1985, first of 732 MLB games in a 16-year career
infielder, 1995, would become household Met name
pitcher, 1995, same game as the infielder named above, would not become a household Met name, but a weird name anyway
pitcher, 1999, remembered for his acquisition, not his debut
pitcher, 2006, reliever who absorbed a nightmare loss
pitcher, 2006, same game as above: I gave up the hit allowing my predecessor's runner to score GW run
outfielder, 2007, I'm so obscure JCL had forgotten I ever existed
Hisanori Takahashi, 2009

11th inning debuts (8):
outfielder, 1965, MFS62 says I'm ugly
Pitcher, 1970, I was acquired in a trade for Bob Aspromonte
pitcher, 1978, rocked the jewfro
pitcher, 1979, played for peanuts
pitcher, 1985, would become household Met name
outfielder, 1995, same game as the two 95 10th-inning debutants; I didn't last long
pitcher, 1995, better known as a starter
pitcher, 1999, Same game as the 1999 10th inning debut guy; we were acquired the same day too but in different trades

12th inning debuts (5)
pitcher, 1962, One guess here is statistically better than any other
1B-OF, 1972, wore No. 24 in this game
infielder, 1981, I share a name with a more famous bb guy
C-1B, 1989, former MFY
C-IF-OF, 1998, I was a pre-Piazza catcher

13th inning debut (1)
outfielder, 1970, regrettable trade in my future

14th inning debut (1)
Gregg Jefferies, 1987 (Hahn Solo)

15th inning debut (1)
Joe Crawford, 4/7/97 (LWFS)

17th-inning debut (1)
pitcher, 1993, I was acquired in a trade from the MFYs

Re: Late Arriving Trivia

Good work.

So, we're looking for a 1970 pitcher; a 1974 infielder; the 1985 pitcher (McDowell not correct); the mop-up man in the Jorge Julio game; an ugly outfielder; a Jewfro wearing pitcher; and a 1962 pitcher

Now that's a deep pitching staff where Rick Aguilera barely qualified as the 5th starter.

Re: Late Arriving Trivia

Bradford, not Sanchez. That was in the period when we Met fans widely believed that Bradford sucked (and Willie would go to Julio sooner than he). I recall he had a bad spring training, and Gary Cohen being picked up by a mic he thought was dead disparaging him.
