Total douchebags. I encountered a douchey adult scooter rider just yesterday at Union Square. He seemed to think the scooter allowed him to not only to get around like a kid but to act like one (cutting people off, rushing behind them on the platform, etc)

My vote would be "dorky" or "OK if with kid," but... man, do those dicks glare at you when you've inadvertently gotten in their way on a walking path or sidewalk-- God for-fucking-bid-- and harshed their glide. They need momentum, and Lawd help you if you've deprived them. RULING: DA-DOOSH. Your sentence is to buy a fookin' bike.

I never got the appeal of those things in the first place; seems like a lot of work for not much added zip. Sort of a cross between a bike and roller-blades but only combining the worst elements of both.

Actually, I think they do have some zip to them. I know this because they ride them on the SIDEWALK. I mean, roller bladers and bikes are forced to be on the road, these guys should be too, no?
