So, my reaction to reading this thing about a pretty sizable drug ring involving NYC schoolteachers could most accurately be described as having two steps: 1) "Holy shipoopi... Quaaludes still exist?" 2) "How the hell are schoolteachers affording $35 a pill?" Just one of many punchlines: Ken Kutin, who teaches drug prevention at IS 266 in Glen Oaks, was among 22 people busted as officials took down the coast-to-coast operation that specialized in the retro narcotic quaaludes, authorities said.
