20-Game Mark

A quick check of the NL at the 20-game mark.
A few teams (like us) have since played a game or two but, just for comparison purposes, this is where their records after 20 games.




Mets 11 - 9

Marlins 11 - 9
2009 ROY Chris Coughlin = .162/.205/.162

Phils 11 - 9
Rollins is out, Lidge has yet to pitch, Happ in now out
Figueroa = 5 IP, 2 ER (ND) is his lone start of the season

Braves 8 - 12
Four starters at or under the Mendoza line:

Not shown are the Astros (I guess because they haven't reached game 20). The Astros opened at 0-8, but are 8-3 since.

God help me, stories of rumored Met targets in rocky seas get me so giddy. So giddy.

Harang threw his first decent game of the year last night. Granted it was over Houston, but apparently his velocity was up where it ought to be and he was getting the whiffs. A bad start could have gotten him bullpenned.

Yeah, I just missed Houston even though it was their 0-8 start then quick turn-around which partially sparked this idea in the first place.



In the AL, the Yanx were lagging behind but finally finished their 20th game last night.
