Among the items found in the Times Square bomber's apt. " a "well-worn" Mets cap. Were he a YLDB, no doubt his effort would have been successful.

It was part of his cover. Had he gone walking around in a Yankees cap, everyone would have known he was a terrorist.

Great. He joins the London Underground bomber who was photographed wearing a Mets jacket.

I thought the London Underground guy's insignia was ambiguous.

So, to clarify, Phillies fans puke on children; Met fans puke on America.

My informal survey form years of working with Doctors from Pakistan and India has Pakistanis mostly as Mets fans and the Indians as MFY fans.

You know the media will dig up pictures of him posing at Mets games.

You all are missing the most important question here: Was it a blue cap or a black cap? We know that true fans have the blue, would-be terrorists looking for a disguise would favor the black.

Police say both men are in their 40s. One of the suspects was seen wearing a blue and orange Mets jacket.

What?

Man, it's great to know the Mets can still be used by publicity hogs on a budget.

They have orange skin, they could have just worn plain blue tee shirts and cut the word Mets out of the fabric.

I like Snooki's jugs, I named them "Bonilla" and "Vaughn" after two of our more full figured Mets.

I'd be willing to bet that Snooki couldn't tell you if a baseball was made by being blown up with air or stuffed with feathers and, at this point, I don't think she goes anywhere without being paid to do so - although the thought of the 'Pons spending money for that just boggles the mind. It's not like the publicity from her presence is going to increase attendance ... is it?

I think she gets points for not wearing any black in her Mets regalia, having the bill of her cap properly curved, and staying for the whole game...

Empires wind down gradually. It used to take centuries, but in modern times, its more like decades.
But if i were to pick a date, i'd say since we elected a B-movie cowboy actor as President. but i'll let the aliens sort out the rubble of our fallen civilization.

Bronx Catholic school principal Frank Borzellieri fired over ties to white supremacist group

The principal of a Bronx Catholic school was fired Tuesday after the Daily News exposed his ties to a white supremacist group and his controversial writings.

"Frank Borzellieri has been relieved of his position as principal of Our Lady of Mount Carmel School," said Joe Zwilling, spokesman for the Archdiocese of New York.

"This decision was reached following a thorough internal review of his opinions and beliefs as expressed in his books and columns, and a discussion with Mr. Borzellieri himself."

The 48-year-old, who was named principal at the mostly black and Latino school two years ago, had pushed in the past to ban a biography of martyred civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King.

He wrote a 2004 book which maintained "diversity is a weakness," and was a frequent contributor to the white supremacist publication American Renaissance.

As a Queens school board member, he tried to bar "anti-American" literature - including the King book - from school libraries and remove a gay teacher from the classroom.

Zwilling said the opinions expressed by Borzellieri in his writings "were found to be imcompatible with the philosophy and practices" of the school and the archdiocese.

Word of Borzellieri's racist ties caused a ruckus at the parish's Sunday Mass, where one parishioner stood to demand the principal's ouster.
