Chance of a rainout isn't there? If that's the case, we may actually get the Santana-Lincecum matchup.

I wonder aloud just how many freakin' innings Wright has ended this year in proportion to his teammates.

Re: Fog You, San Fran: IGT 5/8/2010 SFG @ NYM

Seems like a lot, don't it. I can say after looking it up (coming into this game): David with 0 outs: 31 PA, .346 BA, 5 K David with 1 out: 44 PA, .353 BA, 10 K David with 2 outs: 50 PA. .195 BA, 19 K

Re: Fog You, San Fran: IGT 5/8/2010 SFG @ NYM

Also, after looking it up, David leads the team in 2 out ABs, so with that .195 AVG, and the fact that those with comparable ABs have better averages, I think it is safe to say he is the team leader in innings ended.

Walks, HBP, sac fly and a Pagan triple.

79 pitches through 6 for Santana. Please Jerry, don't feel the need to take him out right away. Edit: And 88 through 7.

I thought we had an 8th inning guy (although I'm not sure who it is). Why do we need 4 pitchers to get through an inning?

At 3-0, My mother continues to hold an undefeated spectatorial record at CitiField, and is possessed of a 6-game win streak dating back to 2000. Also, she's got a brighter-than-the-Death-Valley-midday-sun orange new Met hat that she likes very, very much. Thanks for the lift, Hank.

A game that felt several times like it was going to be horrible to lose became awesome to win. Was tempted, upon leaving, to stop by a tattoo parlor. Obviously all the greatest use their arms as canvases -- and cranes that lift awesome bats.

See what you did there? I didn't have my hat at all yesterday early, but yielded on that point in the top of the 8th. Dammit.
