IGT 5/10/10 - Mets v. Nationals
Gwreck May 09 2010 04:52 PM |
Don't look now, but the Nationals caught up to us in a tie for second in the East. Time to knock them and their -17 run differential back down a few pegs.

Y'know, with a chest protector.

TheOldMole May 10 2010 04:13 PM Re: IGT 5/10/10 - Mets v. Nationals |
I kinda meant it the other way around -- did not express myself clearly. It's unusual for a team that's rebuilding to sign an aging, high-priced superstar who's not going to be part of their future.

Chad Ochoseis May 10 2010 04:20 PM Re: IGT 5/10/10 - Mets v. Nationals |
The Nats believe that the second coming of Jesus is imminent. So I think they're only interested in short-term solutions at catcher.

There was very little redeeming about this game. Maine actually turned in a serviceable outing and given the alternative, I think I'd rather see the occasional solo home run (even if back-to-back) because he's throwing strikes than lots of walks.
